The Byrd’s Nest Clothing Boutique accepts gently used adult and children’s clothing, baby equipment, and toys. All items should be no older than five years old, in excellent condition, freshly washed, free of stains, holes, tears, visible pet hair, and smoke odor. All clothing should be neatly folded and brought in ONE kitchen size trash bag with a limit of ONE bag per week per consignor. IMPORTANT TIP: Please make sure that your drop-off bag is labeled with your name/consignor number/and the date of drop-off. This policy is in place to ensure your items are put on the correct account. Toys and baby equipment are accepted year-round and need to be in gently used condition without any missing or broken pieces. Please make sure that toys with pieces are secured and attached to the main toy. No large equipment or furniture is allowed for drop-off. For example: Cribs, Dressers, Changing Tables, etc. Some examples of baby equipment/toys that we do accept are swings, bouncers, power wheels, and pack n plays.
We now accept walk-in drop-offs all day during business hours. Your drop-off can range from 10-15 minutes because employees will go through all your items and anything not taken will be returned to you at this time. Please plan accordingly as items cannot be dropped off and left without being sorted through by our staff. Our time is best spent preparing high-quality merchandise for the sales floor, so we must be selective during the intake process. Remember this when cleaning out for your consignment drop-off; QUALITY MATTERS; NOT QUANTITY.
Consignors will receive 40% of the selling price for all items sold. The Byrd’s Nest Clothing Boutique will price items at what we feel is a fair price for used items. The Byrd’s Nest Clothing Boutique retains the discretion to adjust pricing or apply discounts to any item in our inventory. The Byrd's Nest Clothing Boutique is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items. To keep our inventory fresh, any pieces remaining at the end of their intended season are automatically passed on to local charities. Please see the clothing season schedule below in reference to what season we take, and when we take it.
It is the responsibility of the Consignor to follow up with The Byrd’s Nest Clothing Boutique on the THIRD or FOURTH Saturday of each month to cash out their account balance. This is the only time pay outs will occur for Consignors unless otherwise approved by Jennifer Byrd, the owner. Only checks or electronic payout options can be made for cash outs. Any consignor balance that is greater than $50 requires a 24-hour notice to cash-out. Consignors can message or call the store at any time to obtain their current account balance. If an account is not cashed out within three months, the funds will be assumed to be donated to the business.
